So I guess since Summer Slaughter is over, Origin is just playing some random shows while they are still on the road. This place, The Marble House, wasn't even a real venue. It's just some dude's basement in the suburbs around the University of Maryland. I imagine it will get shut down pretty soon though because of noise violations or something.
The show was only $5 to get in. One of my favorite local bands, Condemn the Infected played first. Seriously this band if fucking awesome. They aren't given enough credit, hopefully it's only a matter of time until they breakout.
Next was this band called Ashes of Kings. They were the guys that owned the house. They seemed cool but I wasn't really into their music. It was all just chug chug stuff.
After they finished Origin came on. They're such cool dudes. They were there hanging out and talking to people the whole time. The singer was telling us about Michael Jackson autopsy photos and stuff. I caught about 6 songs of their set before some dude that was moshing fell into my friend and fucked his knee. Somebody tried to pick him up but he just fell down to the ground. So they just carried him upstairs and got him some frozen pees for his knee. So then he hobbled to my car and spent the night at my house because he couldn't drive. His parents just came this morning and took him to the hospital.
But yeah, Origin was brutal like always. This place might have been sketchy but it was pretty awesome. I'd rather see Origin in a small basement like that then some big venue.
