    Rumors are abound that the Ducks are planning a fire sale, and Getzlaf is in the middle of it. If I'm the Ducks, it's time to start stockpiling young players because the dearth of them in the system is finally coming back to bite them in the ass.

    Trade deadline has come and gone, and little of note happened, except for Vancouver trading Cody Hodgson for Zack Kassian. On one hand, losing Hodgson sucks because he provides some offense. On the other, he wasn't going to be more than a third line center, and Kassian provides muscle and toughness with some offensive potential.

    y'all can make a run if you want, but the Red Wings did nothing but trade away Commodore for a 7th round pick and STILL will be winning that cup

    I gotta admit though, with that and then rumors that they were going to drop stuart for a rental I started getting reeeeeallly excited because of all the cap space it provided.
