    Any Singers out there?

There are drummers here (I know ) and lot's a dudes know how to rule the guitar. But are there any singers here. What style do you sing and what bands are you on.

What ever, just curious if I am the only screamer out there.
Imagine what I could do if 100% of my brain was working.

Why hello my fellow vocalist brother..... Yeah im not a screamer.... i can do some pretty deep growls and shit... or sing like Varg but i dont do that... I pretty much sing clean either like Opeth or Viking period Bathory, for my band its pretty much just Bathory vocals like on Nordland... which is what our band is mostly influenced by... that and Twilight of the Gods

I'm a singer too. My influences are mainly Serj Tankian, Mike Patton, and Ozzy Osbourne. I would put down Halford or Bruce Dickenson, but I can't even match what they do at all. I prefer simpler and more abstract vocals.

i can do high pitched vocals like the darkness, low growls like nile and high pitched like iron monkey.
i'm trying to nail high pitched screams rather than growls now but i havent tried to many times yet

I am the vocalist for Cynical Messiah, we're a gore grind band. I do the death vocals, the gutterals, pig squeels, screams etc. etc.

haha, I hope those are complements! I've worked really hard on vocals and I did the research on it. It takes lots and lots of practice but in steady amounts, too much can throw your voice out

I didn't here any screaming, but your clean vocals are great. Kind of reminds me of Geoff Tate.

I am a vocalist as well. I have serious plans to take vocal lessons to get better then Andre Matos, Fabio Lione and Geoff Tate. My singing influences or my closest sound would be Mathis Blad, Eric Adams and Tobias Sammet. Also, I need to add in The Hood from Angry Angels is my major infulence for narraration. I write my own lyrics and sing I am involved in a little projext with Kevin and Kyle called Axeodus but that has been quite slow to say the least and I would like something more local...like within 15 minutes of me. So, any warriors out there want to work with a good lyrical writer and powerful singer then look me up!

If anyone would want to give me some directions to go in with my vocals in our music, criticism would be appericated. There's always room for improvement and even I realize i'm not the best at what I do and want to be the best I possibly can.

What do you think of my screams? Growls? Gutterals? Pig Squeels etc?
    Do I sound like anyone?

A big part of gore-grind is vocals, so just like any other instrument, i've got to improve and I cannot do it without feedback.

It sounds like your using too many filters over your voice. Also, keep your pipes lubed. Water and lots of it, when you need to sing warm tea with honey. Beer with honey would be better but your not 21 yet.

Heh... Heheheheheheh... I'm one of those kids that sings great when nobody's around, and as soon as anyone is in the near vicinity they shut their mouth and starts denying ever even knowing how to sing at all.

I'm not too good at growls or screaming. But then again, I've never tried it! I just plain ol' sing. Yeah... My friends tried to start a band with me, but on the first practice I clamped my hands over my ears and started screaming "NO! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!" So uh... That didn't turn out so well!
There was a woman in my town,
    And she was wondrous fair,
Her skin was that of Alabaster,
    Golden was her hair,
And though she had all she could want,
    Then at a speedy pace,
She took a pistol to her head,
    And shot her pretty face...

-Is it me, or does that sound kind freakishly emo...? AAHH! NO!-
