* Please post in the right part of the forum. Sure, it's hard to get it right in the beginning but take a second to look through the different sections and you'll discover that it's pretty easy.
* Make sure a thread doesn't already exist before you start a new one. Especially if you want to start a thread about a band.
* Don't link copyrighted materials (torrents or files) and don't link to pages containing such links.
* The Boiling Point: We do allow discussions on Politics and Religion but because of the sensitive nature of those topics we have some codes of conduct that are especially important to follow in this part of the forum:
Don't get personal. We know, things can get heated but keep it relevant to the subject and refrain from name calling i.e. focus on "your views are idiotic" rather than "you're an idiot". There is no tolerance of screaming (caps) and name calling and failure to abide by this rule will lead to a time limited "cool off" and if needed, a temporary lock of the thread. Severe insults will lead to an immidiate and permanent ban.
If you are easily offended, stay out. We recognize that some subject are more provocative to some than to others but The Boiling Point isn't for everyone always. Know thyself.
* The Dark Ages & Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing: These are our main "metal forums" and have some nifty features that you can choose to use or not use and even hide if you don't like nifty things. These features are based on the names of the threads and the name you give threads in these forums may therefor be changed by a staff member. So the thread "Iron Maiden are great!!" would be changed to just "Iron Maiden" so that when you for example click on the YouTube icon you get a more relevant search. We aren't changing stuff just to flex our awesome moderating muscles.
* Genre fights are not allowed because there is no point to them.
* If you want to upload images to the Gallery please don't show us a series of pictures that all look the same (unless they're amazing of course, 10 pictures of you in front of your mirror with your phone in your hand are not). Only upload pictures that you are legally entitled to distribute.
* Please keep your signatures reasonable in size. And no glitter dammit!
* If you want to advertise your website or band please do so in the "Band And Site Promotion" section of the forums. Posting for purely commercial reasons is not allowed. This means offering any product for money.
* It has come to our attention that certain mail domains have problems with our automated account confirmation mails. If you run into a banned email message it most likely is the case that we identified the mail domain you used as such a domain. Please use a different email address to sign up with. Also if you don't receive an account confirmation mail, please let us know through our feedback page.
